James Bangash

James Bangash

Psychotherapist · Coach · Trauma Therapist

James is an experienced psychotherapist and trauma therapist who supports people to understand themselves more deeply, work through difficult experiences and create meaningful, lasting change.

His approach is integrative and draws on advanced training in psychotherapy, trauma therapy and coaching. He works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, chronic health conditions, low confidence, workplace stress and significant life transitions.

James has a particular interest in supporting people who have grown up within high-control cultural, family or religious environments. His work can help clients explore the impact of these experiences, develop healthier boundaries, strengthen their sense of self and build lives that feel more authentic and aligned with their own values.

His own experience of living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME) also profoundly shaped his path into psychotherapy. Living for several years with chronic illness gave him personal insight into loss, uncertainty, changes in identity and the challenge of rebuilding a meaningful life following adversity.

Alongside his therapeutic work, James brings more than 20 years of experience in coaching, people management, employee relations and Human Resources. Working with managers and leaders around workplace conflict, difficult conversations and complex people-management situations, informed by UK employment law and ACAS best practice.

This additional experience can be particularly valuable when working therapeutically or when coaching professionals with navigating workplace stress, leadership challenges, managing conflict or managing difficult conversations.
